Ebbams Hosts the 24th PIONEER General Meeting in Cairo

Fostering Innovation and Global Partnerships in Additive Manufacturing

This February, Ebbams (Egyptian British Bureau for Additive Manufacturing) hosted the 24th PIONEER General Meeting in Cairo, bringing together industry leaders, innovators, and stakeholders for an insightful and collaborative session.

PIONEER is a European Union-funded project dedicated to developing an interoperable Materials-Modelling-Manufacturing Ecosystem, ensuring seamless data flow across the material value chain. By integrating design-by-simulation with manufacturing and quality data, PIONEER aims to optimize product development strategies, particularly in high-mix, low-volume production environments.

During the meeting, participants engaged in key presentations and discussions on new initiatives, strategic growth, and the latest advancements in additive manufacturing. The event also facilitated networking opportunities, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among professionals from diverse sectors.

As part of the gathering, the PIONEER team visited the Ebbams factory in New Cairo’s industrial zone to explore cutting-edge 3D printing technologies and witness firsthand the latest innovations in additive manufacturing in Egypt.

Looking Ahead

The next PIONEER General Meeting is set to take place in Paris later this year, building on the momentum from Cairo with a continued focus on global innovation and the future of the industry.
